Depends on where you are building it.
If you are near a high population center, or near a military reservation, you are wasting your time. You will perish anyway, no matter how well you build it.
A "standard" nuclear weapon such as Russia keeps in inventory detonated above the island of Oahu would fuse the sand into glass on the big island 200 miles away.
All you would accomplish is to build yourself a very expensive tomb.

first aid kit, canned food, water, basic tools, fuel for generator, Videos, (some kind of entertainment), chemical toilets, no glass but all plastic. and if you are a chirstian then lot of bibles. books, night vision cameras, batteries, Telescope. UV protection.

Go to a survivalist website to find lists for something like this. Hydrated food (MRE's) will be a good start.

personally, i would have a small generator, tv, dvd and lots of movies and wrestling tapes...also a wrestling fan...along with lots of canned food and bottled water. and lots of "Chocolate :) "
as well as a Bible and a few other books, i can only watch so much tv.
