Hi, What is registry cleanup software? One time I downloaded it and it said I had duplicate files so i deleted the duplicates and my computer never started again. I am computer illiterate, but would like my computer to run faster. Is this softwares something I need?

Just stick with software like Registry Mechanic. It repairs your registry and keeps it optimized and does a good job.

I recently downloaded and ran parts of JV16 because I'm having erratic mouse problems and registry cleaning was a recommended thing to try. It apparently did something....but my mouse is still locking up.
If your computer is running slower than it used to, it might be because you have adware or spyware running. getting rid of it usually speeds things up. Download SpyBot Search and Destroy...Just to be clear, that isnt a registry cleaner, its a spyware remover.

its not somthing u need and ur experience is typical .. registry cleaners are dangerous and ive never needed them ..
