Well, i already said ZZTops "Tejas", but also I recommend Ozric Tentacle's "Erpland", both are a magical mystery tour kind of road helper

hey Zina Rae, I used to drive a truck, for a couple of years. Got me a big galaxy cb and a toothpick. Still couldn't listen to '"Trucker music"

Artist like: Red Sovine, CW Mc Call, Tom T. Hall, Jerry Reeves, Hank Snow, Dave Dudley

Songs like:
Giddyup Go
Phantom 309
Convoy
Teddy Bear
Little Joe
East Bound and Down
Roll On (Eighteen Wheeler)
Papa Loved Mama
Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses
Give Me 40 Acres

You know "Truck Driving Songs"! Truckers spend the most time on the road so they KNOW what the best road music is!!!!!

LOL

edit: 8 Track Mind VT, if you only drove truck for "a couple" of years, your taste of music doesn't count! You were still a "Fuzzy Face". Had you had listen to a few "Trucking songs" you might have lasted a little longer driving truck.... !!LOL!!

Queen and the soundtrack to "The Man from Snowy River" although they shouldn't be listened to together. They just aren't very similar. Or better yet, a greatest hits rock album from the 70s.

I think country western is the best. Especially "On the Road Again'' by Willie Nelson and any Johnny Cash music.

Depends on the scenery and the speed limit!
For my money there's nothing better than U2's The Joshua Tree for those long stretches of open highway.

Peace and drive safe!
