I saw this type of dog once.. i will try my best to describe it.
It looked like a teddy bear.. it had a face just like a teddy bear and puffy fur and it was quite a round shape more, not sleek shaped or slim, and it was about the height of a cocker spaniel.. maybe a bit bigger. it was wonderful

I can think of three. Chow Chows, Norwegian Elkhounds and Keeshonds. They are all fluffy and look like little teddy bears..a color description would be helpful, but you can google all of these dogs and find out pretty quickly which one it was.
Ok, if it was tan, then I would bet it was a Chow Chow!!!

Chows are MUCH bigger than a cocker spaniel, so it definately wasn't a chow, unless he was a very young chow.

might have been a young "chow". They have a face that looks like a bear and a rounded body.

You should look thru the AKC website in the breed listing and see if you can find a similar dog.. It's possible that the dog you saw was a mix.

Sounds like a pomeranian. They can be tan, black and other colrors. It sounds a little big for the breed, but that can be.
