I agree and the 'just have faith' stuff is not helping. I have undying faith in God, but the bible & some of the church stuff is kinda mssy. But I think that is true of all religions.

No, not really. We're not perfect, so these things will be up and down, back and forth. We are forgiven because God loves us and He gave His son to die for our sins, thereby saving those that are believers and that love Him, even though we are sinners. Because we aren't perfect and are sinners by nature and by choice, we will never be worthy of Him. Doing it the right way doesn't really make any sense. We are eternally secure if we believe in Him, have faith in Him, and love Him. If we do not abide by these things yet claim to be a Christian, then obviously God did not know us and never did, because everything that we claimed to be was a lie, and would never have been Christians in the first place if these things were not true for us. You can be kind and jealous at the same time. God is not necessarily envious of what another has. Take a look at this verse:
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God..."
He is speaking in this verse in terms of something that is His, that is being given to another. Worship is for God and God alone.

YES YES AND YES! sometimes I think and think on a what I am reading and hearing and I think hey that doesn't make any sense, at all then about the looking is just like committing the act of adultery that is so not fair or right, we have eyes and they are drawn to beauty or a nice body even for a second so are we screwed or what? the other one that get on my nerves is the guy who sleeps with the married girl is going to hell for her sin, what if he didn't know she was married, that is so wrong, I feel like you do and I find that if I look straight ahead and not ask questions some day God will explain even if I have to wait until I get to Heaven, I am so glad to read your ? It made me feel better about the things I feel thank you fellow Christian

I understand what you are saying. This is why you need to ask the Holy Spirit to show you, He will help you to understand. When you rely on the Holy Spirit you do not have to make sense of everything, He can do it for you and He makes it easy to understand also. Don't give up on Jesus, because it does not make sense to you right now. He is on your side and wants you to know and live a life that is not conflicting. This does take time, as the spiritual realm is so full of knowledge that we cannot understand it with our human thinking.

For the most part, my religion (Wicca) does not. Then again, we believe that the Gods love us unconditionally (regardless of our religion), that there is no such thing as "original sin" or a constant need to apologize for being human, and that all are "saved" by default.
I find it makes much more internal sense than Christianity, but that's just my opinion.

There are legalistic churches that could make you feel like that. I've watched my mother go through that. I've come close to that. If your church is making you feel that way, they are forgetting to tell you, as long as you keep getting back on the path to Jesus it is as if you never left it. Just keep bringing all your anxieties, questions, everything to Jesus. He can handle it, and He will free you from bondage to the fullness and richness of His Grace. Jesus loves you!

I did when I was a Protestant. I dont go "huh" anymore since I am now a Catholic Christian, everything is layed out exactly the way it is supposed to be. In the Protestant church I was constantly going "Huh" because they would preach stuff that had nothing to do with what the bible said.

You may say you are Christian! God does not disqualify you. You just do not know enough. Do not give up prematurely. God is just starting he is not finished.

i like how you're supposed to love everyone, but the minute you find out that they don't believe your god they're instantly evil.
"Arise oh Lord; save me, O my God; for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly." Psalm 2:7
now, it may be just me. but that's not very loving.

Nope. I asked God to help me with the full understanding of His Word in the Bible, and lo, I am a strong Christian, despite my age. He will guide you if you ask Him.
