we have been talking to each other and hanging out and doing other stuff together, i thought there was something there but when i didnt even get a hug or anything at the end of the date it made me think that there was nuthing coming from his side. maybe i am overreacting. what do you think?

most guys are clueless really i should know i am one. sounds to me hes being careful not to mess up try impling it without telling him he'll figure out....eventually

He's probably too shy to make any moves. Or maybe he's one of these rare creatures who has enough respect for a girl not to try anything on a first date. He sounds like someone you'd better stick with. If it's meant to be, you'll be getting a lot more than hugs in the future. Don't give up on him. Good luck!

Maybe he's just a little shy. Give him a day or two, then call him and tell him how much fun you had. Try bringing up the next date like "I had so much fun yesterday. What's the plan for this weekend?" Hint hint and wink wink an answer out of him lol.

Maybe he was too shy. Next time go in for a hug and maybe a kiss on the cheek since that can be taken on a friendly or relationship level.

Maybe he's shy. Or maybe he didn't want to seem to forward and offend you. Were you giving clues in your body language that you didn't want to be touched? Give him another chance, if he doesn't try anything again then initiate a hug.

Maybe he's just being respectful. Not all guys are willing to jump your bones the first date. Some hold off if they really like you...then again, he could be not interested.

one of my friends (fit and goregous, btw) went out with this guy twice before he even tried to hug her. turns out he was just shy and nervous. just see if he asks you again.

It is either he only wants you to be his friend or he likes you but wants to go slow in establishing that relationship with you.
