Ask them if they floss? If they drink tea tell them the stains are really bad after a while and makes your breath smell too. Stomache acid cause bad breathe, even worse if they have eaten garlic or some such ingredient..they should be eaten in company is such cases..its an excuse..and it works. Breathe freshners are a hint but its not the cure. Ever handed a person a freshmint and asked yourself if they actually like mint?

Offer them some gum. I went to high school with a guy that had recurring issues and I made a point of offering him gum all the time. Eventually he asked me about his breath and I was able to gently suggest he use a stronger mouthwash. Keep your tone light, and don't make a big scene out of it.

visit this website.

If you know the persons email address, they'll send an anonymous email to them telling them, gently, that they're breath smells. I think they also have ways of verbally telling them as well.

I've done this! I told my mom and a friend both. I just said- You know, I would want to know if my breath was offensive. Is it? And they said no,,,,,I raised my eyebrows and they said uh, is ours and I pulled out the Altoids! We all laughed and they got the message.

just offer them a pice of gum and if they say no, just sit them down and say: "how do i say this nicely....well, i dont mean to hurt you, but your breath is a little stinky. Its not that bad but maybe you should use some listerine or something."

Just say it like it is no big deal, so you don't embarass them and make it awkward. Ask them what they ate in a joking way.. say "whoaa what did you eat?" and then when they answer..say ohh man i hate that, i always get bad breath when i eat (insert food here)... just make it as light-hearted as possible..

Use the direct George Carlin approach: "Gee, Madge, I hate to complain, but your breath could knock a buzzard off a sh**wagon."
