I was wondering if the puppies turn out normal, if the son breeds with his own mother.

No. If you and your mother had a child, would it be normal??? Noooo, it would be INBRED. Not a good thing......

Bahamutt99 has it right - it depends upon the genetic stock of the two dogs involved - everything will double up in a very tight linebreeding of this sort. Part of the art of breeding is to know when to linebreed, and when you should outbreed. That's one thing that worries me about all the so called designer dogs - yorkiepoos and the like - I get the impression there's a lot of careless linebreeding going on, since the gene pools are not that big to begin with.

The dogs will be tightly inbred, which means they will be doubling up on the genes, both good and bad. If mom and son are both impeccably bred, have good genetic health, good temperaments, there is a good chance the puppies will be fine. But inbreeding is best left to the pros, because you have to cull the litter hard to make sure the doubled-up pups that are displaying undesireable genes are removed from the gene pool.

Must be at least 1 generation removed. You have no business breeding unwanted and unhealth tested animals while there are many others that need good homes.

Wolfs dont do it in the wild for a reason so domestic dogs shouldnt be forced too.
This is incest & the offspring will be mentally & probably physically unstable.

Don't do that! Putting lines too close together is inbreeding and leads to nothing but problems. Get them both fixed!

I do not think the puppies would be normal, if they are not physically abnormal, they will probably be psychologically abnormal!!
