They aren't overpriced if you bring them back from Cuba yourself, as I have done a few times. They are certainly not overrated, as long as they are stored properly, they are fantastic, depending on the brand and size.

DISCLAIMER: Before I present my opinion, I would like to say that Cuban made cigars and Cuban cigar products are illegal in the United States. The only legal means of obtaining Cuban made cigars is through a license trip to Cuban in which the domestic value of the cigars do not exceed $100 and are for the person’s personal use. This law applies to all U.S. citizens, legal residences, and even to those who only hold Visas for U.S. entry. This law applies within the United State or visiting abroad (yes, I know that is crazy). My opinion is only to offer information and not to encourage illegal purchasing or importation of contraband.
With that being said, there are many different brands of Cuban cigars, just like different brands of cigarettes, soda, or cheese. You cannot assume that all brands are the best. One can consider Cuban brands such as Cohiba, Hoyo de Monterrey, H. Upmann, or Montecristo as the best (especially more so than their legal counterparts). However, other legal brands such as Arturo Fuente OpusX, Graycliff, Padron 1926 Anniversary, and Davidoff Millennium offer uniqueness and taste that some would consider better than some Cuban cigar brands.
I would say that some Cuban cigars are overrated. Comparing some Cuban brands with other legal brands is like comparing apples to oranges. However, I would say Cuban cigars are overpriced since most people whom illegal purchase them go through a liaison country.

Totally not. There's nothing as smooth.
There's a cigar that smells like CocoPuffs cereal - that just grosses me out!

no the taste the aroma and texture is better than any produced elsewhere
