how can i make my hair hold the color longer...?

my hair is naturally strawberry blond but i've been experimenting with the color for about 2 years now and never had a problem. i recently dyed it dark brown/black (using the same place and brand that i always do) but it's washing out more and more everytime i get in the shower!! i did it like a month ago and it still looks ok (a little lighter then before but now it looks like i have reddish highlights now b/c of my natural color) but it's still rinseing out...any suggestions on how i can keep the color longer?? plases and thank you! ♥katie

yes it SI permanent and i did got to a salon to get it done, that's what i always do. i got it cut the same day too

right after your done putting the color you should hair dry it
and don't wash it everyday. once every other day probably if you don't want to just put conditioner all these answers can be right as well

You are probably using a semi-permanent color that washes out in several shampoos, like Clairol's "Loving Care". Try a more permanent color,like" L'Oreal Preference" or go to a salon and have your color done professionally, especially if you're going many shades darker, or lighter.

You must buy the special shampoos and conditioners for colored hair, they coat the hair so that it doesnt fade as fast.

If you have highlights, I heard if you take ice and like kind-of smooth the ice on the highlighted hairs, it makes it bolder, but not sure of keeping the color in longer.

don't use shampoo everyday and when u do use color treated. other than that there is not much you can do
