a bone lesion is usually refered to as wear and tear of a bone and its surrounding structures, in this case a vertebrae... it could result from numberous reason
most common reason is osteoporosis ( found in women mostly 3 to 1 compared to men)
but also could be the result of indirect or direct trauma
(falling, accident, etc)
