My friend she has a cute lab and she sent me a text message saying "Do you like her nails?" and they were BRIGHT NEON PINK! Is that okay? Should I tell her that's bad? Is there dog nail polish?

There is a salon in southern California, in Los Angeles, where you can get side by side hair cuts with your dog!

You and your dog can get matching "Mani and Pedi's" too.

They also offer massage, aroma therapy and other "spa" treatments for owners and dogs.

It's the wave of the future, baby!

To answer your question:
It's harmless!

Despite the other answers I have seen you recieving, there is a special toe nail polish for dogs, it is sold in any of the Pet Edge books. If she is painting the dogs nails with regular human nail polish there is a difference. This is toxic to animals and should not be used on them. They even sell glue on rubber like tips for dogs and cats, but I think that is wrong!

If it's actual dog nail polish (which does exist) then it's okay. But if it's regular human nail polish, no it's not okay. There's special doggy nail polish for a reason. The dog can pick at their nails and wind up eating the nail polish which isn't good for them.

I do that all the time with no ill effects. Just make sure the animal doesn't lick the polish while it's wet. There is doggie nail polish but I just use regular since it's much cheaper.

sure, it relatively is high quality. the suggestion from somebody approximately no longer letting the canine lick it together because it remains moist is robust suggestion yet different than that, there is not any harm from doing it. One clutter of doggies my canine whelped had 2 adult males that looked plenty alike, I placed nail polish on between the domestic dogs toenail just to tell them aside yet I even have by no skill polished all of my canines' nails because of the fact that I became an person. As a baby i take advantage of to polish the family members puppy's nails on activities.

They do have dog nail polish.
As long as the dog doesn't chew on it or try to bite at it the dog should be fine.
But if the dog is trying to chew it off or bite it off then she shouldn't paint the dogs nails because it can be toxic.

We used to paint our dog's nails all the time. And no, there is nothing wrong with it. How cute!

I'm a guy, and personally, I don't like long nails. I actually know a lot of like very long, painted nails cause they're "so pretty", but I don't like them.
