Make sure you are eating all the right foods, getting enough sleep and NOT stressing out! I know it's hard when your hair is falling out, but stress will make it worse.

Then, go see a real hairdresser, and find out what s/he thinks. If the hair is falling out by the roots, it's probably an internal problem, and you may need to see a doctor. If the hair is breaking off, then, yes, it may be the straightener, and your hairdresser can recommend beauty products to strengthen your hair, and maybe a new straightener.

Also, please consider how beautiful diversity is. My kids and I all have different hair textures -- my eldest has beautiful, straight hair, my youngest has the most wonderful curls, and I have very good, wavy hair. (-: Do we love our hair and make the most of it? (-: Well, no. The youngest wants straight hair like big sis. Big sis wants wavy hair like mine. And I always wanted Rafael curls like the little one. But I know if we start fooling with our hair, instead of gorgeous what-we-got, we will get dry, half-baked hair that's not quite the real thing.

Consider making the most of your natural hair type! The fact that we are not all the same is what makes the world beautiful!

But good luck, whatever you decide.

You may need to go to the doctor and get that checked out. I have never heard of that before, but that doesn't mean anything!
