Me and this one girl have the same last name. ( we arent even closely related) Is it okay to date her? I really like her.

Sure y not? As long as you're sure you are not relation at all than go ahead. If anyone asks about both of your last names than tell them you guys aren't related. Best Wishes. :-)
PS plus if it goes to the point of marriage in the future. She wouldn't have to change her last name!

I dated someone with the same last name as me a loooong time ago. Our last name is very common, and we went through our geneaology quite a bit before we started going out to make sure that our family trees are in fact different trees! There were dumb rumors made up like "OMG she's dating her cousin!", but of course it was back in middle school (haha) and I didn't give a crap about those people who talk about things they know nothing about! Basically, since you're not related at all- there is no problem! :) Best of luck to you both!

as long as she is not related to you it is ok. It is just something else you guys have in common if i found a girl i liked with the same last name as me i would definately talk to her all the time and get to know her a lot better

theres nothing wrong with that. the only thing that might come up is that your borther and sister or cousins. or something. just tell people no, and that you 2just happened to have the same last name

Yes. I did, long ago. (We were not even remotely related. I have a rather common surname.)
I one time asked her, if we were to get married, would she take my name, keep her own, or hyphenate both? Her mom laughed.

why not, it should not matter if you really love her. Besides, she might end up taking your last name anyway, and it wont complicate things
