For Muslims only: what's the correct way to react when you hear that a fellow Muslim has passed away?

What would be the most respectful Islamic way to respond to another Muslim's death? I would like to know what the Qur'an and Hadith say about this.

Innaa lillaahi wa innna ilayhi raaji'oon.

We are from Allah and unto Him we return

And say Insha'Allah will make du'a for that person, and also may Allah (swt) bestow Sabr (patinece) on the family.

You go find a large group of people and blow yourself up. It's really the proper response for everything.
