i was at a hockey game recently and right out in the middle of the ice during the game was a feather falling lightly to the ice. it was in a closed area so i have no idea how it got there. in my family before my mothers grandma died they were very close. but after my mom's grandma died my mom was in despair and she asked for a sign that her grandma was still watching over her so the next day she went outside and on the roof of her car were hundreds of little white feathers very fair and dainty. she has found them ever since when she is in particularily puzzling situations, even my dad has seen them. i have been very stressed recently so stressed i have been becoming sick, and i was feeling stressed that day, so i became sick at the game and thats when i saw the feather, when i got home i also smelled burning candles in my room even though the last time candles were in there was a year ago.

I think you were meant to feel blessed and reassured that you are loved and looked after. Don't question it to much, just listen to what is says to your heart and let it well up within you.

I think we are all blessed, each and every day, but we lose our ability to recognize it. Miracles aren't mysterious, they are natural occurences, but because we don't understand them exactly, because we can't put them in a vial, test and measure them we tend to doubt their reality or significance. This robs us of some much joy in our life.

Listen to your heart. It won't ever lie.

You can usually find birds flying in any big store or building especially when the roof has huge uncovered beams.
As for feathers on a car roof, some larger bird had a feast on it, we see them on the lawn from time to time. Sad, but true.
As to the smell of candles, I personally get a burning smell from time to time caused by health problems.
Careful! You may have an evil spirit trying to get your attention. I would do some serious praying.

You are seeing the 'feather' at the hockey game because your mother has seen feathers that she associates with your grandmother ... and you must also associate candles with her, or with your 'supreme being.' That tells me that there is a 85-99% chance this is an 'angelic vision' you had and it's your grandmother telling you that she is 'watching out for you' from Heaven.
I've had similar visions ... after my daughter died of SIDS, many 'strange things' happened ... including one of her doctors (she was 'alive' but brain dead in the hospital for two days) decided he'd take a residency at the BEST SIDS INSTITUTE in the country, and talk his dad (who was one of the BEST KNOWN of pediatricians in the country) into studying SIDS at his institute. It was from that institute that we got the 'information' that if babies sleep on their backs, they won't die of SIDS. The priest who came to baptize her before she died told me that 'that baby doesn't need baptism. She had a job to do that is done now, and God is calling her home. I'll baptize her for you, but her soul is already with God ... and after I baptize her, I'm going on a long retreat, because I have always believed that EVERY baby was born 'in sin' and needed to be baptized.'
I scattered her ashes in a very special place, and when I went back there, I was sad, and walked to where I could be alone. I saw a bird fly by me very slowly ... a bird that is usually seen ONLY on the coast (it was in the mountains) and is rarely seen in that state. I still see 'rare birds' in rare places (including a Bald Eagle that flew right over the freeway and by me no more than 20 feet ahead. Yes, they are 'birds' ... but I also think they are ANGELS telling me everything is going to be 'okay' ...

contrary to alot of people's believe signs or symbols from those who love us do manifest via 'feathers'. I've experienced the same and with me it usually means that a higher power is trying to talk to me ....... since your elders have witnessed this phenomenon also, the bet is that it's your 'grandma' trying to contact you. get quiet and listen! My grandma used to say if you place the feather over a glass of water under your bed, at the head, you will dream of the person and ask her then what it is she wants you to know (write that in a letter and place it also over the glass of water.

That is such an awesome story.

While i have never felt inclined to believe in higher powers, id say there are some things that are truly beautiful and incomprehensible. I do hope somewhere my grandma and your grandma are sharing a cup of tea and watching their stories!

God does not send feathers if thats what you are asking. Some people find comfort in these kind of things and I suppose that's alright. I suggest you get to the doctor about your stress issues and if your want to find the source of the feathers I suggest you check down jackets, down pillows, down comforters, feather dusters etc. Some poor bird is probaby very cold right now.

If you believe that God exists, and you believe that the Bible is the Word of God, then know and believe what the Bible says, "...it is appointed unto man but once to die." (New Testament) In the Book of Acts, the Bible makes reference to familiar spirits, or spirits that have knowledge of past and future events.

There is nothing that I have found in the scriptures which supports theory that some souls wonder aimlessly on the earth seeking rest. In the Old Testament God talks about the spirit returning to Him upon death. I believe that these familiar sppirits knowing what a person trusts in will use those same events, memories of people near and dear to them, in order to lead them away from trusting and looking for the answes from the one True God.

Think about this, if you found comfort by knowing thgat your grandma was watching over you and you didn't have anything to worry about, you would go to her because "she is watching over you" instead of relying and trustung in God.
