Many students do that first. If you decide to continue on to be a dentist, many of your credits can be transferred so that you will not have to retake many of the courses. Good luck, my dear!

Dental Hygiene classes in my state require a three.5 GPA and 21 ACT score. The interview and essay isn't a picnic the two. I doubt i might have made it if I had to do it now. i've got been a hygienist for 21 years and that i do love assisting human beings study the thank you to be fit and smarter. My important criticism touching directly to the sector is the lack of ability of appreciate some dentists provide us. in case you do develop right into a dentist as a exchange of a hygienist i'm hoping you will delight on your no longer uncomplicated working, money producing team and enable them to renowned it. And.....do no longer cause them to ask you for a improve. With the two occupation, you need to have sturdy math and technological information backgrounds. it is not no longer uncomplicated in case you reside concentrated and desperate...it relatively is totally strategies numbing at cases inspite of the indisputable fact that...solid success identifying.

You wouldn't go to a college for dental hygiene. You will go to a technical school that offers the training....

And sure you could later go to a dental school to become a dentist.

Definately. I knew a girl that did that. She was a hygenist for a few years, and then decided to move on to dentistry. That actually makes your resume stronger.

What you do have to realize is that you can't 'continue' into to dental school exactly; you have to do the entire four year program for your DDS/DMD.
