i dont beleve in god, but i do believe that we get reincarnated.. by our sprits...
cause i grew up with my mom saying there was no thing as magic, or anything special.
so idk .. when i was 10 i said..
if theres a god why is he being this mean
and stuff like that .. so i stopped believeing in him
but oddly i still believe in ghosts and stuff...
just that their spirits who couldn't find another body to become part of... so their trapped on the earth with no body.

Yes it is ok. Being a non-believer doesn't automatically make someone immoral.

Gandhi never believed in God. Was he pure evil?

amazingly we are hearing this same rational more and more every day. I can only tell you what I believe which is that there is no way that 'this' all just happened or evolved without some one being in charge of it.
To answer your question, if you don't believe in god, you don't believe in god. I can only give you what I believe and then as time goes on you will have to make that decision for yourself. YOu don't sound very old in your writing. The good news is that you have until you breath your last breath to commit yourself. The bad thing about waiting until the last minute is that you don't know when that will be. I dont think that's a good thing to do.
I pray you find your way....

No. Belief in God is essential for your soul! All who do not believe in Jesus Christ, being the Son of God, Dying on the Cross, and the Resurrection after Three days will not live. If you repent from your ways of disbelief, believing that all your sins will be washed away with the Blood of Christ, and by doing such then you will have a personal relationship with God the Father in Heaven, and only through this belief will you have eternal Salvation. Without it then you will be condemmened to an everlasting life of fire and never see the hereafter Glory in Heaven.

Without bothering to get into any dogma, just philosophical here: Seeing as how heaven would have to be something created by God, how can your friends and family go to a place (heaven) if it doesn't exist? If heaven always existed, and wasn't created, how would we know about it? We'd just be hopeful that people go somewhere good, but we couldn't be certain of it. It's natural to believe what you want, but shouldn't you be sure of what you believe? Shouldn't you have evidence for your beliefs?

Believe in what you want to,
you do not need anyone's permission.
No one can "MAKE YOU BELIEVE" in anything,
it has to be your choice.
Too many cultures were destroyed because
certain persons refused to believe
in a certain philosophy.
If you doubt this:
Ask any Native American does he still practice
his original beliefs. Some will tell you they converted.
They converted all right. They'd rather live than face death.
Yes, here's where I drag out my soap box,
Look at the burning of the witches in old Salem town.
For folks who escaped religious oppression from the British, they certainly had a double-standard where religion in the colonies were concerned.
My ancestors practiced the old beliefs
in secret and lived to tell about it.
So believe in what you wish,
if you don't believe that there is a god, fine.
I'm putting my soap box away now...

Perfectly fine. It is sad that children, in this day and age, are still defined by their beliefs. I almost shed a tear when I hear a child referred to as a 'Christian child' or a 'Muslim child.'

Once you get past the taboo our increasingly fundamentalist society has put on those who don't believe exactly as they do, you can find freedom in having your own views and studying theology and religious history without being ashamed.

Strange, you see all kinds of people being bigoted about their religion being right and everyone else's wrong, because they were indoctrinated into their beliefs of course, but sadely few who act like they are actually serving a higher purpose. Somewhere along the line people began to decide it was more important to make sure their child is following the 'right' religion than to teach them the concepts of morality shared by nearly all religions.

You might look into some Eastern philosophy, even certain secets of Buddhism.

Good luck.

No! God made us and we have a body soul and spirit. Yet we have forgotten God because we can not boss him around. God is not mean the world in which we live is mean and angry. Issues and conflict of men and women. There are no Ghost. There are demonic spirits that are trapped on earth that inhibit people with spirits of deception. People talk the world talk and others eat it up. God is a somebody and no human spirit is trapped on earth.

It is perfectly ok. I will use the typical idea of god to help make you feel better on this subject. god made everything. god has given us limitations. god has not given us any proof of his existence. so therefore how, with out limited abilities and no proof, can he blame us for not believing. He is after all kind and loving so he of course would be understanding and would of course understand your dilema. Therefore he would not be mad at you and punish you. I think that if the typical idea of god was true he would favor those he questioned the idea and decided to make their own chooses after all he did give them freedom and intellect which they excercised and made use of whereas the others did not. Of course the typical idea of god is not completely accurate. Think of this reality as "god's mind" and god has thought everything into existence and is viewing everything through everythings perspective. So therefore you are god, i am god, everything is. So if you ever do choose to believe in a higher power then i hope you will not look to the heavens or anything outside yourself because you can find god within yourself. The important thing is to love yourself and others. Belief in something is not as important as doing what is right. I like to term myself atheist but it is very misleading as I believe in the universal mind and i know that it is within me and everywhere i look. But once i again i would like to stress the fact that it does not matter if you choose to believe or disbelieve a god because it is always more important to do what is right. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail.

Believing the god, you are not making an error. You are not becoming a fool. You are not committing a sin. you are not accepting anything immoral, unethical or to hate the other communities or to separate you from your fellow men and women!

On the other side, it could purify your mind and the life based on it for peaceful existence and in good association with other people! It gives you strength to oppose the evil desire of any kind inside you and to remove them from you permanently!

It makes you understand that all of us are equal before the God and hence the need to respect every soul equally and to also work for the unity and equality among the people to have the peace and the amity for all! So, the God is Love and the Love is God to mean that if we make the whole of humanity to live in peace by love, we can remove the disparities making realm of God right here, on Earth!

It gives the strength to fight against the social evils and the disorders brought in by the anti-religious culture and lifestyle! It makes your children to accept and adopt the good family values like respecting the elders and to maintain the of principles of good living!

On the contrary, if you decide to live as atheist, you can still live and lead a happy and peaceful life ONLY if you could achieve and maintain the same quality of life of good values that one could get by his/her trust in god!

God gave you choices, whether you believe in him or not is your choice. But to blame everything on God is us getting out of accountability and responsibility of our own. God gave you, your life as a gift to you. What you do with your life is a gift from you to God. What kind of gift are you giving? We live in a me, me, me, me society. If God took everything bad out of the world what would you learn? You have a choice, most of us sit back and continue to let things happen blaming everyone else when it takes us to change. And believe me this life here is just a mere wrinkle in time. If you have never read the bible, familiarize yourself with it. You might be suprised all the gifts that are waiting for you. Especially the Love of a wonderful Powerful God. He gave his Son to save our pathetic souls. Seems like you are on the wrong side and you can't stand in the middle if you don't believe in God then you believe in Satan, where will you be when your life ends or when you lose everything? And you will it's just a matter of time.

Yes of course there has to be Ghost ever Atheist should know that. When we deny them a God and Heaven to go to they have to hang around here on earth as spirits. Anyway we need someone to take care of the herds of pink unicorns we have roaming all over the place. Don't you wonder why we still have all those damn monkeys?
