AnnualCreditReport.com gives you free credit reports but you have to pay for the score -- $6 to $8. No one gives free scores.

If you just want your score, go to MyFico.com. There is a fee.

You should remember that creditors look at more than just the score. What's actually on your report is more important that the score.

If U need ur credit score, along with the actual report,
check out www.annualcreditreport.com
If you are interested in getting the FICO scores, there's a small amount of $$.

An inquiry does show up on your report with your name requesting the report.. which is not really an inquiry.

It is always a good idea to keep track of your credit history once a year. In fact, I just get my report recently from one of the credit bureaus. It'll help you see the improvements or possible downside in your credit history.

You cannot get the actual score for free - they charge for it. Only the reports are free once per year.
