Gravity and water are the leading killers of digital cameras. The warranty will not cover abuse (dropping) so any repairs will be at your expense. Repairing it will cost more than a new camera.

Use the one you have as a paperweight and begin shopping for its replacement.

Your friend should offer to pay part of the cost since she broke your camera.

Always use a wrist strap or neck strap on your camera. My camera is either hanging around my neck, on a tripod, or safe in my camera bag. In 36 years I have yet to drop a camera.

Might as well follow Dusty's advice, you can hardly break it more. I highly doubt that will fix anything, though. Lenses are precision instruments, and not really repairable by consumers. Even if the camera is still under warranty, it probably won't cover abuse. Unless it was a very expensive camera, probably not cost effective to fix, but check on that option anyway. Then have your friend pay for at least part of the cost to replace the camera.
