Why is it up to Christians to provide information proving the existence of God? Why are we somehow obligated to do so? As Christians, we are supposed to spread the word of God, but when an atheist asks questions regarding proof, there is nothign that we can do. Not because there is no proof, but they are in the mindset to reject it anyway. You will always receive the same answer, even though there is scientific evidence that God does exist. It is said that Christians are pushy and try to convert everyone to Christianity and that if they do not, then they damn people to Hell, which isn't true. We do not have the power to do so anyway...only God Himself does. I have found that atheists try to convince me that there isn't a God. Isn't that being a hypocrit? Why is it alright to try and disprove God to Christians, but it's looked down upon by atheists when a Christian tries to explain that there is a God?

It figures there would be many asking for the proof that God exists. Not only were the dead sea scrolls found, as well as the scroll of Judas, but there was a documentary online regarding the great flood, and the proof of that flood. It never ceases to amaze me that people will believe the history book, but will not believe the Bible, the oldest book. Visit this URL that gives you proof of God's existence.

Of course one can find arguments against anything, however here is your proof. I guess taking someones word for it is good enough to believe evolution, but it's not good enough to believe in God, which is also hypocritical. There is no solid scientific evidence that shows that evolution is true. God could provide all of the evidence he wanted to, but he wants people to have Faith, which is the ultimate proof...knowing in your heart.

Because you are the ones making the outrageous claims.
"Not because there is no proof"
Haven't seen any, yet, your links notwithstanding.

Atheists are just people who don't believe in any gods. We don't have to know all the answers to reject "a magic invisible being did it." However, I've done some research: If you're thinking that some "census forms the Romans conducted that are in the Vatican library" somehow show that Jesus actually existed, I'd be very interested in seeing images of these forms. All reliable evidence points to Jesus Christ being just a myth. There is no reliable evidence that Jesus even existed, and significant evidence that he didn't. The evidence is in the Bible, the other religions of the time, and the lack of writings about Jesus by historians of the time. You're rather confused about science, the Big Bang, and biology (including evolution). A scientific theory is a unifying concept that explains a large body of data. It is a hypothesis that has withstood the test of time and the challenge of opposing views. The Big Bang Theory and the Theory of Evolution are supported by extensive data. There is no reliable data supporting the some-god-did-it hypothesis, and especially not the Yahweh-did-it hypothesis. It used to be that science couldn't answer the question about the origin of the universe or of the Big Bang, but that didn't mean we should make up an answer (such as a god) and say that it was the cause. Within the last few decades scientists have discovered some good answers. Of course, a scientific explanation is more complex than simply saying, "God did it." Quantum mechanics shows that "nothing," as a philosophical concept, does not exist. There is always a quantum field with random fluctuations. There are many well-respected physicists, such as Stephen Hawking, Lawrence Krauss, Sean M. Carroll, Victor Stenger, Michio Kaku, Alan Guth, Alex Vilenkin, Robert A.J. Matthews, and Nobel laureate Frank Wilczek, who have created scientific models where the Big Bang and thus the entire universe could arise from nothing but a random quantum vacuum fluctuation in the quantum field -- via natural processes. I know that this doesn't make sense in our Newtonian experience, but it does in the realm of quantum mechanics and relativity. As Nobel laureate physicist Richard Feynman wrote, "The theory of quantum electrodynamics describes nature as absurd from the point of view of common sense. And it agrees fully with experiment. So I hope you can accept nature as she is — absurd." For more, watch the video at the 1st link - "A Universe From Nothing" by theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss, read an interview with him (at the 2nd link), get his new book (at the 3rd link), or read an excerpt from his book (at the 4th link). There are extensive examples of DNA mutating to produce evolution - in humans and other animals. See the last 3 links.

The uncaused beginning of the Universe allows for no proof of a deity that caused it to happen, was Einstein, Hawkings and Penrose incorrect in their use of Quantum mechanics? If you think so please take the time to read Singularity Theorems for Dummies as it should help you to understand, the link is at the bottom. Or would you like to discredit the most eminent professors of our time? For years many people have doubted Einstein's theory of the curvature of the space time continium but through the use of modern astronomy it is a proven fact, the singularity builds on Einsteins theory.
I do beleive in god just not the same one or too strictly to deny the truth, I am what you would call a heathen.
Andy
I have read much on the links that you have posted the theory of God existing as creator hinges on the fact of quoting several eminent astronomers out of context. I am very suprised that George Greenstein, who has written a book about Quantam Mechanics , has not sued the authors behind such misleading interpretation of his work.
I have included Greenstein's website as a link below

Nope: The burden of proof is in the believer, mate. Basic principle of any debate, etc. Also, I would like to see, hear, experience, this evidence anyway. You never know, you just might convert me if you give me some empirical proof, not speculative proof. And, "It is said that Christians are pushy and try to convert everyone to Christianity and that if they do not, then they damn people to Hell," Is MOSTLY true, not everyone does it, but be damned sure that a VAST VAST majority do. Also, I do not try and prove or disprove anything, unless someone asks for my ideas, theories, etc. only then do I say what I have to say. Hope this helps for ya...

There's scientific proof that god exists? Then show it to me! Those links are nothing more than Christian sponsored propaganda. The fact of the matter is that there is NO proof of the existance of god. And atheists ask theists (not just Christians, but all theists) to show proof because the burden of proof lies on the one making the claim. Ever heard of the saying "you can't prove a negative"? Well maybe it sounds like a cop out from atheists, but it's true.

If I told you that volcanoes are really the lairs of dragons and that magma is actually dragon dung, would you simply believe me? Isn't it up to me to prove that what I have said is true? Why should you run around checking out all the volcanoes of the world for proof when I was the one who made the claim to begin with?? Isn't it up to the person making the claim to PROVE they are right by providing evidence?? I can sit there and say that there is scienctific evidence that dragons live in volcanoes, I can say that you are just in the "mindset" to reject it anyway etc etc. However if I really and truly want to prove I am right I should have NO PROBLEM whatsoever providing ALL of the necessary and irrefutable proof of my claim to 100% remove all doubt about it's veracity. Now NOT ONE believer has EVER in history done that, you ALL claim proof undeniable but you never show it, and it's never undeniable when you do. If you really wanted to convince everyone then you need to get proof that is soundly based in undeniable evidence.... You have failed to do that time and again and then you blame Non-believers for it.. Listen, why don't you share this proof and when challenged be able to uphold it with more proof... that's all it takes.

Because the status quo is non-existence?
People don't wander around believing in something until it's NON-EXISTENCE can be proven, this is ridiculous! All of agree the universe is here. Only theists believe a supernatural, divine power is needed to explain it.
If I tell you there is a giant, man-eating frog in the local lake, it is not YOUR job to prove it's NON-EXISTENCE. It is a ridiculous claim, the burden is upon me.
Also, what is that "scientific evidence that God does exist"? Did he leave his beard trimmings in a massive invisible sink somewhere, to be found by one of our telescopes?

You know why there is no proof??? Because back then a bunch of guys were sitting around wondering how they could make more money and keep people from doing bad things. In turn they took the Word of "God" and made a big story up called the Bible to try to keep people good while saying they had to give up their money to them. You wanna know exactly what Im talking about? Go to Zeitgeistmovie.com- youll thank me later.

Because you talk of something that cannot be proven. Courts and trials do what you do.
A criminal goes up and says "Ya, I didn't do it." If that were Christians, we'd just believe it and criminals would be everywhere. Unfortunately, since people lie, we must investigate - this is how courts work. If the person was innocent, they'd actually have their own evidence to support their innocence.
You stating God exists is the same as a criminal saying he didn't do it - I'm not saying you're evil, I'm saying you always expect us to prove everything you say and you don't even have a test to do it.
Buddhism has tests to prove it's points, you just have a book.

I'm a believer, but I don't think your question makes any sense. If I came to you and told you you need to believe in the invisible purple elephant who flies around the Earth if you want salvation, would you not want some kind of proof of this before you decided to believe? If you can't understand this basic premiss, there's no sense in talking to you. You're not logical enough to have a rational discussion. I may as well debate with a three year old.

You're not obligated to give me any proof, unless you want me to believe in God. Only then would I insist that you give me some evidence. Most atheists do not go around trying to convince theists that there is no God. It's usually the other way around.
