Evidently that is what JKR is claiming. If I remember correctly...it was more of a "I've always seen Dumbledore as being gay" or something like that. It isn't in any of the books...just her personal thoughts about a character she wrote.

Dumbledore is a fictional character. He isn't real. Someone made him up.

yes JKR stated clearly 'Dumbledore is gay". its already been added to Dumbeldore's article in Wikipedia.

came as a total shock to me.

I just saw one poster say she had nothing against gays, but she was so upset about it. Why is the sexuality important for so many people?

He always seemed like he looked on the bright side of things in the books - even when he was about to die, so Yeah I would say he is one happy dude.

It's true. Rowling said so herself. It actually makes a lot of sense. It explains why he was so willing to go along with Grindelwald's scheme for wizard supremecy over muggles... he was in love and blinded by that feeling.
