I'm 5 foot 8 and 134 pounds. Am I overweight? I don't think I'm that big but I have a health nut as a mom. She hints to me everyday that I'm fat. One day she made me so sad that I told her I was going anorexic and all she said was "drink a lot of water." I just wanna know if she's right about me being fat.

You don't say how old you are but 5 ft 8 in and 134 lb is within the normal range for a healthy adult.
Being thin is not a wise goal. It is better to eat a healthy diet and to exercise regularly. Note that if you're very athletic and have well-developed muscles then you may weigh more than average and still be healthy.

That is a very, very healthy weight. Supermodels at your height are only about 10 pounds lighter, and we know they are stick stick stick thin. Below is a healthy weight range chart from Weight Watchers.

It sounds to me like your mom is mental. My mom treated me the same, and so did one of my friends' moms. My friends mom was later hospitalised for anorexia. I found out that my mom had been treated for it as well.

Parents want the best for their children, but when their idea of what is best is twisted, then their advice and their demands become twisted too.

Good luck, and take heart. You are not at all fat.

Oh, and shoot. I just realized. You are two pounds over the minimum healthy weight for your height. If you lose weight, you will cease being healthy!

Oh hell no. You are curvy in the best sense of the word. Your mom probably needs an intervention. Usually parents are supportive of their daughters. Get good medical advice and bring the report to her. In fact get the advice of a nutritionist and give your mother the report.

Sounds to me like you need to gain a few pounds. Point out your mom's wrinkles to her. She will hate that!!!!! :)

I have always heard that for women, you should add 5 pounds for every inch you are over 5 ft. So, if you are 5'8", then an ideal weight would be 140 lbs. This is for full grown women as I understand it.
