anything i should do to it to make the skin heal better? i read something about alcohol, so does isopropyl rubbing alcohol work? or a face wash or something? please and thank you!

If there's still a bump, either the main infection hasn't come all the way up yet or there is still swelling in the surrounding tissue. Do a very warm compress for a few minutes, followed by cool, NOT cold water.

A dab of witch hazel will sting, but help to cut down on bacteria in the area.

Poke a pin hole in a vitamin E gel cap - you can get a bottle of them in any grocery or drug store. Feed this to your skin in small dots - don't let it dry out, keep it coated with vitamin E.

Wash with a gentle, natural soap. Follow with a bit of witch hazel on acne-prone areas and a drop of oil on the dry spots.

Yes, you can use vitamin e cream or gel to help heal it. But in my experience, since you popped it the pore is open and you really should just try to keep dirt out of it. Make sure not to get foundation or any sorte of makeup in it because the pimple will just keep coming back.

DON'T use alcohol! It will dry it out way to much and your sebacious glands (the ones that produce oil on your face) will think that there is no oil and will produce more, therefore making your acne worse.

You shouldn't have popped it, but i understand sometimes you can do it accidently....Popping the pimple will lead to hyper pigmentation on that spot and will take a longgggg time to get rid of.

In terms of a face wash. I use Spectrol gel, twice a day, once at night and once in the morning. At night I also use OXY daily cleansing acne pads with a medication from my doctor called Clinoxyl Gel, it's very gentle, it works! and you can get a prescription for it from you family doctor. No need for a dermatologist. This routine has kept my skin clear. Spectro Gel and the OXY pads are available at Wal-mart and any other drug store/pharmacy.

I hope this helped and didn't overwhelm you with my answer. Good Luck. =)

good idea to first wash with soap and warm water--try to prevent spread of pus to avoid infection. Then a nice alcohol based liquid like a drop of after shave works well.

ok i don't like to pop my zits, but this is the regimen my mother and sister use:
•dab on a little bit of aloe
•dab on a little bit of cocoa butter
•top with neosporin
•cover the hole with toothpaste. and leave it on for as long as you like...i don't think it matters how long, but common sense tells me no longer than 4 hours

I am guessing it is scabbed over so try neosporin to heal it up or some vitamin E and awesome healing product that is good for scars and incisions. (only spot treat it)
