I believe the movie mentions the same answer you'll here, "Satan created those other savior figures in the past to discredit christ today" Occam's razor anyone?

I've seen it. There ARE a few liberties taken with scripture (and one instance in which they discuss a passage that doesn't exist in any known translation), but otherwise it's very very good.
