Jeremiah 17:9 " The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it ? " They are blinded by their pride.

Midge...to some, this is a medium of entertainment., a place they can be someone else, live different tales, lie, evoke emotion, both good and bad.
True christians, likely as yourself, have their faith in the Holy Spirit. I find my peace in the god of my understanding.
The depth of the faith determines the purity of the heart...which includes the spoken word......
It can be difficult to separate the entertainment faction from the faithful when the emotion runs so true and deep for you.
Don't take heart......

If Roman Catholic dogma be true, than none of us are immune to the judgment of the Holy Spirit.
But it is precisely Roman Catholic dogma that is in dispute--as well as every other Christian doctrine.
All we can do is evaluate Catholicism and other forms of Christianity as best we can.
There are critical things that we could say about Roman Catholicism that would indeed be lies.
There are critical things that we could say about Roman Catholicism that simply are not lies.
There is in fact a dogma of papal infallibility. To criticize that dogma is not to engage in a lie, but simply to exercise what we believe to our inalienable right to reason for ourselves.

Everyone is immune to the judgment of the holy spirit b/c what you speak of is not true. I believe will all of my being that what you've said is false just as you believe with all of your being that what you've said is true. My convictions are not lessened by the fact that you believe strongly.

The same reason people think they can do drugs, then go take a drug test, or lie when taking a lie detector test. Some people are stuck in that "magical thinking" phase we go through as children and think that if they want to get past something, they will. I'm ignoring your statement about "us" Catholics; I'm a protestant, myself, but I get your point.

Holy superiority complex, Batman.
Look, just because someone managed to convince you that you're going to be judged doesn't mean that I will to. Just because you THINK you'll be judged in your favor doesn't mean I won't. Just because you read in a man-made book that people die from lying to apostles, doesnt make it true.
Tell you what. As a catholic, you recite the apostle's creed, making you for all intents and purposes an apostle yourself.
My name is Ricky Ricardo.
I just lied to you, and I'm not dead.

Well perhaps they have witnessed numerous people telling lies, and NOT immediately dropping dead. (Just take a look at politicians, they should be dropping like flies)
Perhaps that is why they think they are "immune"
More likely, they don't believe in your holy spirit.

Then why don't these liars fall down and breath their last?? Obviously they must be immune to the judgement of the "holy spirit" since they don't fall down dead right away.. according to you that is.

Don't forget....Catholics are not immune either.
Matthew 23:9 says "And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven."
Yet you call priests "father" and the pope "holy father".

Your Catechism says: ""The witnesses who have preceded us...those whom the CHURCH RECOGNIZES as saints...They contemplate God, praise him and constantly care for those whom they have left on earth. Their intercession is their most exalted service to God's plan. We can and should ask them to intercede for us and for the whole world." Pg. 645, #2683 (See also Pg. 249, #956)"
and ""Exactly as Christian communion among our fellow pilgrims brings us closer to Christ, so our communion with the saints joins us to Christ..." Pg. 249-250, #957"
Yet Matthew 18:19 says "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."
Wonder why God would think it was SO important to add the words "on earth"? And we won't even go into the fact that in Romans Paul says that all who are beloved of God are "saints"....yet the Catholic Chuch begs to differ, and stipulates only SOME as saints.

Your Catholic Encyclopedia says ""Christ...commanded that his bloody sacrifice on the Cross should be daily renewed by an unbloody sacrifice of his body and blood in the Mass under the simple elements of bread and wine." (vol. 10, pg. 13)
First, PLEASE give me the chapter and verse where Jesus "commands" this.
Yet Matthew 26 and Corinthians 11 say CLEARLY that this is a REMEMBRANCE. A MEMORIAL. You say you are literally eating Christ's flesh and blood, yet God says in Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:11-12, and Acts 15:29, that we are NOT to eat flesh and blood.

Or maybe you can explain this: "If you want to see what a person's real priorities are, then watch what they do when their life, or the life of a loved one, is in danger. When Pope John Paul II was shot, while the ambulance was rushing him to the hospital, the Pope was not praying to God or calling on the name of Jesus. He kept saying, over and over: "Mary, my mother!" Polish pilgrims placed a picture of Our Lady of Czestochowa on the throne where the Pope normally sat. People gathered around the picture. Vatican loudspeakers broadcasted the prayers of the rosary. When the Pope recovered, he gave Mary all the glory for saving his life, and he made a pilgrimage to Fatima to publicly thank her."
