Probably two, depending on the size of them. Someone who doesn't drink regularly has a low alcohol tolerance and can feel it more and faster.

Not knowing anything about you, I am estimating no more than two.
Is there a possibility you might get sick? Absolutely - maybe before you even finish the first one.
Why? This is something entirely new for your body and brain. Both have to adapt.
BTW, if I "had my druthers", I wouldn't even start drinking any more than 3 or 4 of anything at any time. There are simply too many pitfalls associated with drinking.
Without even getting into the particulars of harm to the body and brain, its enough to mention there are A LOT of social problems:
1] Getting stopped for drunk driving or DUI - randomly or at a check point.
2] This could lead to
a) points on a person's driving record,
b) increased insurance premiums
c) AND on a slow night, it may also alert the police if they see a vehicle similar to yours and its stopped and it turns out to be you - you become an easier mark for the police.
Longer answer to a short Q. Thanks for asking your Q! I thought you should know the possible ramifications and pitfalls what goes on in these times.
VTY,

if you have never drunk before then you should be able to manage about 20 or 30. Drinking margaritas is a bit like drinking weak tea, you'll be fine. Just keep going.
Ps. this is neither a serious question nor a serious answer

For someone who's never drank, I'd say 1 and a half. You drink the first one, it tastes good, you feel fine, you order another one. Then about halfway through your head spins and you realize that you really shouldn't finish the rest.
This also applies to wine, at least for me.

3 or 4 should do it. But please don't drive. You'll have a helluva hangover, if you get drunk as heck.
