Southern Baptists, most Catholics I know are hypocritical of their religion's teachings, but at least they don't preach it down your throat every chance they get.

Judgementalism and hypocrisy depends on things other than denomination. It happens in many different places, and for pretty much the same reasons.
Wherever people forget what their true human natures are like, and lose their humility. An improper understanding of certain doctrines will cause it also.
I have personally seen this more among those churches that do not have a trained, old in the faith, mature, Pastor.

I grew up in a Southern Baptist church and this one had a real problem with malicious gossip and judgementalism. But by no means would I say this is true of all Southern Baptists.

I think it is up to each individual pastor, pastor's wife, elders to set the tone in the church by leading by example.

I would think it a huge step forward if every church pledged to make it's grounds gossip-free.

After all, gossip is usually about judging, often without all the facts.

Since they all claim to be the only ones that will be saved, then they are all saying everyone else will burn in hell so I guess they are all equal in judgemental and hypocritical.

It would be judgemental and hypocrital to point fingers. We can all use a little repentance and do better.

Not a denomination as such but those loose cannons who study their Bible in so called fellowship and come off with nothing but hatred and venom, one particular member knows to whom I refer.

Gorgeous... "Any Abrahamic religion is based on hate." What a judgemental, hypocritical, and misinformed statement!

Abraham is the father of the Jews and Jesus is a direct descendent of Abraham. Thus, Christianity is an Abrahamic religion. When we accept Jesus, we are grafted into the Vine and become spiritual Jews. In fact, do you realize that it was Jesus whom spoke these words? Speaking to Isaac, Jesus said:

"Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." Genesis 26:3-5

Thus, you could say that Abraham was the first Christian! What better definition for a Christian than one whom God, Himself (Jesus, actually), said he kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws? Note that the Hebrew for that word "laws" is "Torah" -- the entire content of the first five books of the Bible.

Proof this was preincarnate Jesus Christ speaking?

"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." John 8:56-59

They did this because, by the use of the Hebrew phrase "I am," the Jews knew Jesus was claiming to have been the One whom spoke to Moses from the burning bush (Exodus 3:13,14). Also:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:1-3,14

"By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth." Psalms 33:6

Thus, Jesus is the Word of God. Normally, God only speaks to Man through His Word. Occasionally, God the Father has spoken directly to Man (Matthew 3:13-17).
