I haven't appealed questions but I have appealed answers and had it re-instated. If you're sure that the question did not violate the guidelines, appeal it; this reduces the value of the reporting individuals reports. Hopefully this means that they will not be able to report as much.
Edit:
You may want to evaluate the answers here, some I've read have made some borderline questions and answers if not worse. Not saying that they are bad people, just that we all need to think before/as we post.

I've had answers removed. I appealled and was denied, though. I've never had any questions removed.

Yes.. I had my questions and the points restored to me. Whoever reported me was doing it because they just didn't like me not because my question/s were violating anything. never had a question removed; but i did have points restored for a deleted answer once.

I've had a couple answers put back on and emails from Yahoo saying so.
