About six years ago my boyfriends sister died, we were kinda close but not like sisters. Anyway we were at the chapel before her burial paying our last respects. It was our turn, what i saw, even tho i'm still not sure what it was to this day surprised me beyond my dreams and i'm just wondering if anybody knows what it was i saw or if it ever happened to any body else to please tell me, i would really appreciate it. Thank you.
We were standing in front of her casket, my boyfriend and i. They was this greyish like smoke rising from the top of her chest/ stomach area in a clock-wise spiral motion, almost like a tornado but slower. Does anybody know what that was?? Was that her spirit or soul ?? I noticed almost immediately when we got to her, looked at my boyfriend and asked him if he saw that and he said no. I stood there looking at it for almost 5 minutes amazed. Other people were behind me so i had to hurry up, said goodbye and sat down.

Also i happen to be a skeptic like you obviously are but tend to be more mature about it.
To one person there, referring the book; She had surgery and her heart was weak, not strong enough to survive.And thanks.

It was his sister, letting you know,
that she was finally letting go.
I'm surprised that your boy friend
or someone else in their family
haven't had some sort of para-normal
visitation from her.
My son was 4 when he died
and he came back to tell his friend,
that he was much better now,
but he had to go stay with GC
and take care of his chickens.
The only GC,
I ever knew was my oldest brother's
imaginary friend and
Terry never knew about him or the chickens.
We have no explanation for this,
don't let these folks, who have never
had an experience tell you it's your imagination.
Because they haven't seen it...
They're not as sensitive to these things as you are.
And yes, this was the proper place to put this question.
Just because they don't believe,
this does not make it a fact.
Look at all the atheists in here
that challenge the belief in gods.
This is something you have to take on faith..

People see spiritual energy in all sorts of different ways. You may have seen her soul, or perhaps it was representing the lack of soul. Basically, seeing the tornado of grey mist as a format for your mind to understand what your spirit was able to sense. A tornado is a sucking motion, drawing things from the base into the sky, so that works.
But that entirely depends on the symbolism of your mind. Until you train in the arts, a lot of what you see will be based on symbolism, since you don't actually see it with your physical eyes.
But it could have been either the... *searches for words* exit path? Ugh, but it'll have to do... the "exit path" of the spirit, or her spirit itself, clinging on to life, not willing to leave yet.

If this was a spiritual experience of some sort, it was one for you alone. You will not get an answer of why you had it until a time when you really need it. When you are at a cross roads, you may remember this or it may repeat to comfort you or help you make the right choice.

That is fascinating. Just count yourself fortunate that you saw this and that it apparently was meant for you only and no one else.
If would hazard a guess that you and your boyfriend hopefully broke up. She knew your brother better than you did and maybe by her not being close to you and without going into detail she distanced herself from your relationship. But if she had a chance she would have said that verbally to you before she passed away. She thought perhaps there would be too much conflict between you two in the future.
That would be my guess to you about her message from the grave to you. And rather than pointing fingers at him she pointed fingers at herself
What really happened in the six years since that time between you two?

Try to read "The book of spirits" by Allan Kardac and you'll understand more about what you saw. It wasn't her soul it was just her vital fluid- I guess she died maybe in some accident, isn't it?

the first time I seen spirit was a greyish cloud .. that is the only way I can describe it
so perhaps this was her spirit ... who knows
this is not how I see spirit now and it has been a long long time since I saw that
unfortunatly without communication there is no proof of what you saw...
I can only share that I saw the same once

stress or shock from the incident combined probably with lack of sleep from dealing with this.
your brain only deals with perception of reality, not reality itself.
could be that that's just what you wanted to see so your brain created it as a necessity to deal with the loss.
it was not her spirit or soul
