There is a joy that only those who love God know...Joy in His will and Word...Joy in love for the poor and help given to those in need...Compassion for the sick...Pity for the sinner who has turned from God...Help extended to the poor as though we did it for Christ alone... And surely, Joy in prayer and union with God...In conclusion, Joy is Love expressed.

Having a good attitude no matter what you are going through. Not letting circumstances take away your peace and God given joy. This is the Joy of the Lord.

Joy is a wonderful eternal fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Joy does not change due to my circumstances but rather is something that is constant as long as I trust that God works all things out for good.

Joy when I wake up in the Morning and look forward to another day, just knowing that my life as I know it now, may end,,,but eternity is stretching out in front of me. I no longer fear death..
Joy at night, because I know that if I should die before I wake,,,God would indeed take my soul to be with him.
Joy in just knowing that I found the truth...I know that I know the God of all Heaven and Earth and he knows me.
Joy is knowing that I was smart enough one day to call Jesus my Savior and to call it quits to a whole lot of sinning..which reminds me of this great song by the Hinsons..
Don't gamble on life
With all your luck and your skills
Cause ya can't play the cards
Ole man death's gonna deal
The bible has said
Who the loser's gonna be
There's only two winning hands
And they were nailed to a tree

If I consider myself a Christian because I fear God, I am no Paulinian. So the Paul's inventions around Yehoshua ben Yusuf can bestow no joy upon me.

The emotion excited by the acquisition or expectation of good; state of happiness; exultation. The Hebrew and Greek words used in the Bible for joy, exultation, rejoicing, and being glad express various shades of meaning, different stages or degrees of joy. The verbs involved express the inner feeling and the outward manifestation of joy and variously mean “be joyful; exult; shout for joy; leap for joy.”

Joy is a situation when I come to the realization of God's words, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have shown you can be faithful in small things. I will trust you with greater; come and join in your master's happiness." (Matt XXV,21).

I know where it is. It's in the center of your body, right around your heart and to the bottom of it, and it radiates out from there with the force of an atom bomb going off, when it gets going. Well, that's an exaggeration, but it feels like that could happen if you let it go.
I believe it's a taste of the glory that is our hope in him.

Yes, amen to what CJ said!
