Yes, you do. Over time, people gradually forget about somebody. If you can go for a few years with little to no contact with somebody you can make anotherfirst impression. The amount of years depends on the type of relationship/impression first made. I would say it could take anywhere from 5 to 15 years to be able to make another first impression on somebody. Hopefully you don't ess up the second time.

Well no. We may get a second chance in that we may be able to alter the opinion that was made on the first impression! But that is all. If it is yourself you are worried about, try not to get uptight if you think you may have let yourself down. I personally have made judgements on a first impression that have turned out to be completely wrong. We really shouln't do it, but it is human nature! Plus, you may have come over far better than you think!! So chin up - just be yourself, and don't worry!!!!

I heard in one of my psychology classes that it takes about 6 good impressions to counter one bad impression. So you can't have another "first" impression, since it wouldn't be first, but you could make up for a bad first impression.

Usually not. First impression technically means the very FIRST idea that someone get when they see you for the FIRST time. Occasionally, you could get another try when visiting close people related to your gf... etc.

According to this expression, most people don't think you do get a second chance. But, I personally, believe you do.

Would you really want to impress someone who judges books by their covers?
