the MP-5? The MP-40? The Thompson? the M-16(military edition)? The AK-47? The .50 Caliber Madeuce? the Sk23e?

I shot all of these today. Oddly, I hit five balloons at 100 yards. Two with the Ak-47, one with the M-16, and another two with the 23e. But at 20 yards I struggled with the metal plates with the other guns. the .50 caliber was AMAZING! it blew gravel from the road 15 feet in the air! I annilated the paper target with it. Atleas that's what it looked like.

I almost bought a kar 98K once....it had matching serial numbers on all of the major parts, and it was only 500 dollars....I'm regretting it now.

I have shot all but the Sk23e.

The MP-5 is a fun gun, but had a short length of pull for me, I am 6'5" so I could have used an extra inch or two on the stock. I would definitely own one if I could afford a "transferable" one.
The MP-40 I used was a semi-auto homebuild made from a parts kit. They are also pretty fun to shoot. I have been mulling over building one of my own after seeing the kits for sale at weaponeer.net.
The Thompson I shot was a M1928A1 again built from a parts kit. It's a little more pricey than something I would want to buy but a nice range toy none the less.
I shot an M-16 in A1 configuration with the triangular front handguard. I don't really care for the triangular handguard, I would much rather have a round one. The first time I went to shoot it, I felt so dumb because I thought the forward assist was the charging handle and I was angry because it wouldn't work.
The .50 M2HB always brings a smile to my face. I shot a friend's semi-auto one built from a parts kit. They can really tear up an old microwave or tv in short order.
The AK-47 is cool. I own 5 different variants and have seen a couple of the real deal AK-47 parts kits from the captured Russian guns supplied to the PLO.

If you liked these you should try to shoot a 1919a4, PKM, DP-28, and a Bren; those are all really cool guns too.

That K98 you missed for about $500, if it came from "Mitchells Mausers" don't feel too bad about missing it. Mitchells force stamps a match on their guns. They take Russian capture guns and refinish them to almost original condition. Sure they look nice, but there isn't any addition value to it over any other Russian capture K98.

Yep I've shot them all. Carried a M-16A1 in the Army. Also carried the M-60, M203. Shot the 50 and 30cal Brownings. A large number of other weapons as well. We were also trained to handle and fight with most Eastern Block weapons.

I've shot an M-16 and an AK-47 in my lifetime. What's cool about the round fired from an M-16 is it's so fast that the bullet tumbles and it will shred the face of a pop can.
