Why is Michael Waltrip still allowed to race? He doesn't do anything but crash and cause cautions.

Not purposely crash.

and how many years ago was that in the Daytona 500? A lot.

yeah he should be out of nascar...he raced a long time before he won Dayton and dei had a performance advantage back then...he is just another lucky guy who had a great driver in the family....Rusty's brothers and many others do the same thing.

He won Daytona in '01 and '03. Twice more than you have. Not to mention two other wins.

Why let Jeff Gordon race, all he does is win or run up front?
Why let Ryan Newman race, he wrecks when he's by himself leading?
Why let Matt Kenseth race, he hasn't finished a race in a month?
Why let Tony Stewart race, he just gets mad and complains if he doesn't win?
Why let Juan Pablo Montoya race, he's an open wheel guy, can't drive without ticking people off, and he's not even an American?
I don't feel like taking up 50 lines for this, so I won't I go on.

Leave the guy alone. Besides, his NAPA commercials are hilarious ("no, NASCAR didn't give me the car of yesterday"..."yes, I do realize that turn three isn't a school zone"...priceless!).

What in the world did Michael have to do with Srs death? That was an absurd answer. Anyway, why wouldn;t Waltrip be allowed to race? He has just as much right as anyone and - no, he doesn;t cause a lot of wrecks. Not sure what races you are watching. He may not run great, but he doesn;t go out there and crash people.

Why shouldn't he be allowed to race? A couple months ago it was Montoya everybody was bashing for crashing. Now Michael? Yeah, he won the Daytona 500 6 yrs ago. He is struggling to get a new team going, with a new car, and I think everybody should cut him some slack. He's been doing better lately.

Go Jr.>>>>

I like Michael Waltrip because he has class, which is something that can't be said of a few drivers. Toyota got off to a rocky start, but they are starting to come around. Watch out for them next year when they get more teams driving Toyotas.

Why do so many people root for Junior? How many years ago was the Daytona 500 he won? How many engines has he blown...a lot. And it's true, MIchael has won more Daytonas than both Earnhardt and Earnhardt Light.

Hmm- I wonder what races you've been watching. Lately, Mikey's been running fairly well. If we use your logic, Jeff Green and John Andretti shouldn;t be running because they crash a lot.
Maybe Kenny Schrader shouldn't be running either. He hasn't won since 1991! Dave Blaney has never won a Cup race!
Mikey will never get mixed up with his brother, but if he got kicked out, he'd have lots of company.

He has more Daytona 500 wins then Dale Sr does!

How about Montoya? He only has 1 win and has caused more cautions and crashes then Mikey has?

Why are you a hater?

He has a license to drive in NASCAR. He has NASCAR approved equipment. He has the money to maintain his equipment. Once you get that far anyone can race if they can qualify. He has missed several races this year because of that last part.

I agree he isn't the best out there but he is better than some other guys that run.

Michael keeps the fun in NASCAR. He's old-school, but can speak in complete sentences. He has tremendous sponsor and network support because of his personality, and as seen by his latest pole he can still run with the big multi-car teams. He has kept his sense of humor and humility in what must be a frustrating year, and entertains us every week. Go 55!!
