It depends on which god you believe in. Generally, you are merely a theist unless you proclaim a particular god that you worship--then you are a follower of the religion affiliated with that god. If you believe in a god that created everything but doesn't interact with the universe anymore, you are likely a deist.

Believing there is a God is the first part of a process. You won't probably get excited about this, but the Bible you are not keen on would say that "even the demons believe" there is a God. The "one up" they have on us is having *seen* the very God they have chosen to rebel against.
It's never been about knowing there is a God. It's always been about aligning ourselves with the one true God. Aligning ourselves with Him cannot be on our own terms. That would be placing ourselves in a whole other position in the relationship, and that position would be picking and choosing the parts of God to which we want to affiliate ourselves. That's not alignment. That's bargaining on our terms.
God doesn't play that game.
He has defined Himself and revealed Himself to us through that Bible. It is, in effect, His expressed will. Wanting to take Him, but not His expressed will, is rather impossible. It's not an either/or situation, but accepting both/and.
I'm not sure of what, specifically, is problematic in the Christian Bible in your eyes. You don't mention. I wonder if it would be helpful to spend some time considering that part of the equation and getting the answers to the real questions that underlie this one.
The most basic categorization that you're looking for probably won't help. Only you know where you stand with God, really. Only you know if you have asked Him to be the Forgiver of your sins and the Leader of your life. (The second one is no less important than the first.)

Sure. You don't have to believe in the Christian God just because you believe in God.
Look up the terms "theist" and "deist". Theists believe in a personal God who interacts with mankind, who can be but isn't limited to the Christian God. Deists believe in a creator God that doesn't intervene in our affairs.
And if you believe that there could be more than one God, there are several polytheistic religions also. Start researching faiths outside of the Abrahamic religions. I hope you find what you're looking for!

There are a lot of people who believe in god but don't believe in the "christian" bible. Why would you think that bible is the only source? Plenty of religions get along just fine without it. But, keep thinking about this. If you're not buying what's in the bible, why are you so sure you believe in a god? Things are starting not to make sense to you, I expect. That's good. Keep on thinking!

Agnostic, is you think the god you believe in is ultimately unknowable...
Deist, if you believe this god is an uncaring, impersonal god who takes no interest in man or his doings, but also basically falls in line with the creation portion of things (i.e., needed him to get things started before he wandered off with better things to do...)
There are a few other sub categories, but those are the two most popular...

deist, theist, or pagan. Pagan quite literally means a different belief than any of the major world religions. It's a nice catch all :P Though to take the title pagan will make for assumptions of all other sorts of things. And it's a good way to make Christians cringe, telling em you're pagan. Hahaha.
By the sounds of it, though, I'd say theist is best.

I don't think there actualy is a category for people like yourself
I think alot of people believe there is a God out there but just don't know which God is the real one.....whether it is "the" God or someone like Allah.
I don't think you have a category....your just with about 80-90% of the world.

Jesus told you that your belief in God the Father is enough, now you will be judged as everyone else, by your good works.
John 3:14- 21 read this and understand.

anything BUT the christian. Muslim, buddhist (although it cannot with so much assurance be considered a religion, it's rather philosophy), hinduist, agnostic, pagan and so on and so forth. Pick your favourite!
