Unlike all other religions, Christianity alone possesses a founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same. All other (false) religions were founded by men and prophets whose end was the grave. As Christians, we take comfort in the fact that our God became man, died for our sins, was killed, and was resurrected the third day. The grave could not hold Him. He lives and He sits today at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. The living church has a living Head.

As a protestant Christan I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation and being reconciled to God. I believe in John 3 16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him would have eternal life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn it but that the world through him might be saved.

I believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, on the third day was resurrected from the dead., was seen alive by over 500 people for forty days before he went into heaven. And on the day of Pentecost he baptized his believers with the Holy Ghost. He allowed them to speak in other tongues so that they could go out and spread the good news about God's salvation message to everyone in the world.

For in the Old Testament after the flood God changed languages in one day to spread the people over the earth to subdue and conquer it. In the New Testament his followers were sent to go and find those scattered people and give them the salvation message of redemption, through Jesus Christ.

This is why I am follower of the Christian way. Denominations have never been important to me. As long as a believer seeks and puts God first in word, prayer, and deed, God will honor their faith and help them to live the way God wants citizens of heaven to live on this earth.

For two reasons:

1) The Bible has been preserved through the centuries as the Word of God

2) God promised the Jews would be as the sands of the sea. Throughout history people have tried to eliminate the Jews, either by killing them or intermarrying with them, yet they are still here.

Why not??? No, I'm serous. It's different to each person. It's the same as you believing in what you believe. I am a logical thinker I still I believe in the Christian faith. Though there are truths in each religion. I believe in God. Not Allah, not Shiva, not Isis. Though I like studying other religions and there are truths in Islam, Hinduism, Paganism, and others. I don't think this answers your question but if you want you may message me

By comparison. But my religion is verbally mine. I follow no church, only the Bible - specifically, the Old Testament. Do you take me for a "christian" then?

After much searching, comparison, practice, and reasoning, I was led to conclude that Christ is the fulfillment of God's love for us and that He alone has presented mankind with the full truth of Who God is and what He desires from us...
