I am guessing that it is possible somehow, but to me it seems like buying a 4X4 model to start out with would be the best and easiest choice. I would recommend a Tundra or F150.

Dodge used to be built pretty much like a Chevy in the front. You are looking at a rather expensive project. You are going to have to gather up the front axle and make sure the axle ratio matches the back axle and you will have to take the cross member out and put in the 4WD cross member get a transfer case which will probably require getting the transmission too as usually they are mounted together and you'll need the drive shafts and the shifter and probably the hump in the floor. You would be ahead to trade trucks.

Any thing is possible, and it will take lots of dollars and work. The most economical way would be to trade in your 4x2 for a 4x4.
