FRIED PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY
SANDWICHES

Fry one or more for lunch or a quick supper for the kids.
Spread bread with peanut butter and jelly, top and dip into French toast batter. Fry in hot grease.

FRENCH TOAST BATTER:

2 beaten eggs with 1 tbsp. flour added
1 c. evaporated milk or Milnot
1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. sugar

Make batter and dip sandwich into batter quickly. Do not let stand as it makes the bread soggy. Fry in deep fat until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and can be sprinkle with powdered sugar. This is enough batter for 10 pieces of bread.

Our county fair is always coming up with a new and improved deep fried creation. Try dipping the sandwich in a pancake batter and then into the deep fryer !!
Then sprinkle with some powdered sugar.
Interesting and yet a very yummy thought !!

I'd make them like "Dee" said to do only I think I would stick them in the freezer long enough to freeze before deep frying. It just seems to me that they would hold together better that way. I might also try putting a couple of slices of ripe banana in the sandwich too. Just my thoughts.

How frightening! I think the recipe is self explanatory...but if you must do this (my teeth are curling up at the very thought!), I suggest you pan-fry it, not in deep oil!

Elvis loved fried PB and banana sandwiches. I'd suggest going the grilled-cheese route; put your PB and J inside, and marge or butter on the outside of the bread, and fry like a cheese sandwich.

Excuse me, but ---eeew!

that sounds gross but get some peanuts go back in time to george washington carver give it to him then he will make the peanut butter come back to the future and get some grapes and squish em up and take it to a smuckers factory then go to a wheat mill steal some bread make the sandwhich then drive it to Mcdonalds run in but be silent quickley when no ones looking jump over the counter put on a mcdonalds worker outfit on toss it in the french fry fryer give it to a 5 star resturant taster and BAM! mission complete!
