What do you guys think is an appropriate age for lovers to get really "serious" and start thinking about their future.
I'm 18, and I've been with my boyfriend for a little over two years, and we're very much devoted and in love with each other.
We plan on getting an apartment together once we finish school (graduating mid-term) and starting our lives.
Do you think 18 is too young to have your future set? I'm a very mature 18 year-old, and I know what I want in life, so I don't really think age matters, but I've been told differently by my friends and other non-supporting individuals.

you say you are very mature and know what you want in life so you sound like you're ready
18 is not to young
you should ask your boyfriend is he ready for the same responsibility you are ready for
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PeceGiv, at 18 all think that we know what we want for the rest of out lives, but sad reality is that majority of the time things do not work out as planned. I married my first wife at your age thinking that we were so in love and worldly wise. Well that marriage lasted exactly 2 years then ended very badly. Luckily we had a son together and now are good friends but for a long while things were very tense between us. At 18 there is so much more to learn and experience but if you and your boyfriend have made these plans and do go through with them I wish you both the best of luck.

Is he also 18?? I mean.. you are maybe more mature then he is. You girls always mature at a faster rate then us guys do! And I am not sure we ever really catch up really? Anyway.. to make a commitment this early in your lives is difficult to do!
The other thing is, do you both have the financial ability to afford an apartment? I wish you both good things in whatever you decide :)

no i dont think so
if you have a nice job and so does he,
and your both mature enough for the relationship
then i think it would be a great idea to plan ahead for your future.
best of luck
