Being in heat means being fertile. She's no longer fertile if she's pregnant. She's fertilised. A bit like humann....we dont have periods or ovulate when we're pregnant.

If she is pregnant she can hardly get pregnant. Didn't you Dad explain the basics of reproduction? She cannot go into heat again until about 2 months after the kittens are born.
Acting pregnant. No cat acts pregnant. IF she is rolling on the floor, making a lot of chirping noises, puts her hind end up and sort of stomps with her back feet, yowls a lot - especially at night and rubs her head and ears on about anything she can - she is in heat - DO NOT let her get near a male - DO NOT let her outside at all for any reason. - you will surely have kittens. Usually only 1 or 2 the first time - 4 to 6 the second time.
Immediately she gets pregnant she will calm down. That is a sure sign she had a tryst on the back fence. It will be too late.
Why not have the cat fixed - there are too many cats - there is no need for more little kitties while cats are being killed in the shelters. Take her to the Vet and have her tubes tied off - That is it - No more in heat.
Why don't you get smart and talk to a vet? I cannot understand why people ask these questions on this site instead of going directly to professionals. I can sensibly answer this because I have had cats for years and have been through heats, pregnancies, and birthing. Most people cannot tell what is happening with a cat unless they have been through it. GO TO A VET - Let him see her and he will give you accurate information. Don't let her get pregnant.

The whole point of heat is to get the cat pregnant. Once she's pregnant, any further hormonal shifts into being in heat again should wait till after the kittens are born.

A female cat can carry the offspring of multiple fathers at the same time, I have seen many litters of kittens from feral moms that look like some are twice the size of the smallest and they mature to look very different from each other. The phenomenon is known as "superfecundity".

Cats are not spontaneous ovulaters as are people.
The sex act itself induces the female to drop eggs.
So yes, she can become pregnant by more than one male. As far as an active heat cycle, I would think that the calling and rolling would stop when the female is pregnant. GET YOUR CAT SPAYED!!!
There are too many unwanted cats in this world allready.

My cat was already pregnant, and was still getting attention.
She gave birth, and was STILL PREGNANT as a result.
We had to take her to the vet to have the rest of the kittens aborted. It was horrible!
The stupid vet asked me if I wanted to know the sex of the kittens!!!! I couldn't believe it!

ummm ... no. Animals go into heat because of ovulation cycles. Ovulation stops until the pregnancy is over.
