After all, you're taking the word of men who claim to be divinely inspired. Aren't you basically entrusting the fate of your 'immortal soul' to other people?

Because how would you know that the writers and compilers of The Bible are divinely inspired IF THEY DIDN'T TELL SAY THEY WERE?

Uh, that's mean to be, "IF THEY DIDN'T SAY THEY WERE".

Forgive me, my ability to form sentences has apparently been temporarily suspended.

Atheism actually potential the shortcoming of religion. that's no longer a faith, and that's no longer in accordance with faith. it is precisely what Atheism is making an attempt to break; ignorant faith of something that has no info. We run our ideals by using info and medical theories and rules. And Atheists are no longer prepared mutually, they suspect on their own, so as that they are not an prepared faith.

I do not follow a preacher,I know Jesus and Holy Angels. The
Bible which I understand through The Holy Spirit is correct,a lot of proof coming up due to archeology, and the dead sea scrolls found in the 1950's match The Bible from creation to The Ark of the Covenant.

40 different men penned the bible over more than 700 years, and yet every word that each man penned agrees with every word that all of the others wrote down.

edit:

...because there is only one author.

edit:

If you are earnestly seeking the truth, one day you will find out that there are no contradictions in the bible. What appear to be contradictions appear so to those who want there to be because if they can see contradictions in the bible that means they believe they don't have to contend with their sin.

Are you asking if the concept of the immortal soul comes from uninspired men? I don't find that concept in my translation. So, yeah, I guess.
