How was that experience for you?

Im Muslim, and when I went to London, we visited a church there and it was an enlightening experience because they just happened to play the Muslim call of prayer as a way to symbolize the unity of both religions. On a Buddhist holiday, I was invited to visit their temple and perform their rituals...it was pretty amazing too. i also live in a mainly Jewish neighborhood and visited synongogues&learned alot about Judiasm growing up. I love learning about different religions/cultures ^_^

HatersMakemeFamous- obviously thats an overstatement. I just asked how was your experience, not what you thought of the religion. Thanks for your attempt at a decent answer anyway....

Yeah I actually went to a Catholic school when I was younger so went to chapel sessions there quite frequently. One of my closer friends was actually Jewish so I went to the synagogue numerous times with her. I went to a non-denominational Christian school for 4 years(best days ever), and Chapel was once a week. I grew up in a Muslim family and went to Muslim school. I have some Hindu friends, and I've visited like 5 temples. So I've gotten a little bit of every main religion outside of the Buddism and some sects of Christianity. I consider it an advantage to know about all these religions. Its pretty eye opening. I've also read the Bible and Quran in its entirety, as well as bits and pieces of the Bagvad Gita. Though knowing about all these different religions won't change the fact that I'm an atheist(biology major who loves science), it is still great to know.

I have visited the places of worship of almost all important religions and have tried to imbibe the good points in other religions.
I have visited the United Methodist Church and had good discussions with the parish priest. I have also visited the Presbyterian and Jehovah's Witness worship place. One of my friends are a family of faithfull Christians.
I have visited Mosques and played with Muslim friends. In fact in my childhood, one of my bosom friends was a Muslim, Even now a very religious Muslim Saiyyed is close friend of mine and his children come to me for their Eidi as a matter of right. I have visited the mausoleum of their ancestor and participated in the Urs.
I have also visited the Buddhist monasteries, in fact one of the most revered by the Buddhists the world over -Tawang monastery which has the distinction of receiving the present Dalai Lama as their guest of honour.
I have also visited Hindoo and Jain temples many a times.
I agree with one above all religions are like streams flowing into the great ocean.

I grew up Eastern Orthodox Christian and am now Muslim. I have visited many churches of different denominations, mosques and even synagogues. We had a field trip in high school to a synagogue, it was nice. I've driven past the Baha'i temple outside Chicago a million times...someday I hope to go back and see the inside. I love seeing different places of worship. I grew up going to a Cathedral so I am used to seeing big, grand places but I find beauty in even tiny chapels that are often undecorated. It's nice to be in these places and think of all the people that have past through and were seeking to better themselves and work towards God.

I have gone to several churches, but all as a tourist. I enjoyed it because I love (historic) architecture, but I never feel something special, it's all pretty neutral. I've never visited a buddhist or hinduist temple, nor a mosque (I guess mainly because there aren't a lot around to visit). I've never been to a religious service other than my own though I am also interested in other religions and cultures. Perhaps in the future :)

I recently went to England and France. I visited Westminster Abby, Canterbury Cathedral, Temple Church, St. Paul's and stood outside Notre Dame.
While I am in now way affiliated with the religions to those churches. You can not help but be awed by the beauty and design that went into them.

Yes, I am a Christian, and I have visited two different Jewish Synagogues. Once I went with a religion class, the other time I attended a worship service with my Jewish friends, I think it was a Friday night.

This is interesting. I am a Muslim man and during my high school days because of my interest in other religions I joined the fellowships. I was secretary of the Christian Students Fellowship at my high school.
I will soon be retiring and taking a degree in theology.
All religion to me are like different rivers flowing towards the Sea. they all end up in the Oceans! However, some rivers are very long and the others are shorter!!

Once I went a church with a Christian friend of mine; I'm not sure what denomination. I thought it was pretty nice how everyone treated the other church members like family. The bible study class was a bit awkward for me, but all in all I though it was worthwhile.
