Of course! That makes perfect sense. Here's another one: The whole world follows the calendar based on Christ, no matter what their beliefs (or lack thereof). Any country you work with, everyone follows that this is 2007 "in the year of our Lord". I mean, that part is even written in the US Constitution! So even non-Christians follow that.

To be accurate, not all weeks have exactly 7 days in them, since we have a leap year every four years. Each year is comprised of 365 1/4 days, so somewhere there is an extra bit lurking. Plus, if we redefined a day to be 48 hours instead of 24, our weeks would be different. The calendar we use is not proof of a god, just how we choose to order our lives (usually based on natural phenomena, such as orbits). Ethiopian New Year was just celebrated about a month ago. What do you think of that?

a "week" has nothing to do with "god"
the only measures of time that truly have meaning are:
year = 1 trip around the sun, one cycle of seasons
moon = 1 trip of the moon around the earth (almost a month, but not quite, 29.530589 days) - one cycle of the moon
day = 1 rotation of the earth, one day/night cycle
'season' = 1/4 year, as determined by longest day, longest night, and the two points on equal time
'week' = 1/4 moon, as determined by new moon, full moon, and the equal points. (almost 7 days and rounded to that for convince)
rather "pagan" actually!

That's like saying "how did we get 'In God We Trust' on our money without a god?" ... ummm ... humans made it all up. 7 days a week is just a tradition that was invented by a human.
Now answer me this, why doesn't 7 go into 365 equally?

Ancient sumerians made the first calenders and we still use their system today..their yearly system was only off by 6 hours,
so it was more like 364.18 days in a year instead of the 365.25 days in our year.

Great Question!! 7 is the number of God! It's no surprise we have 7 days in our calendar! It's another fingerprint of our Creator!
