I know vista has it already built in stereo mix where what you hear through the speakers also goes into a line-in for your microphone, and I want to know how to get it for XP because I haven't found it yet

In my XP CPU I have Stereo Mix enabled. An easy way to use it is by going to Sound Recoder, clicking Audio Preoperties and selecting Volume under Sound Recording, check the box under Stereo Mix or you can change the volume in this menu.

Hope this is helpful!
