They took a man of middle eastern descent, changed his religion and the way he worshipped, changed his skin color, changed his hair color, changed his eye color, changed his name, changed his heritage, changed his mothers appearance as well and made HIM acceptable to those he now resembled. Millions worship and idolize a false image of the man written about in the Bible. The man described as having skin of bronze and hair of wool. Josephs last name was not Christ and Mary would have taken his name AND so would his son. It's not impossible to understand why so many people do not believe in Him. So many lies. So many selfish interpretations of the Bible. Beware of false prophets. The biggest lie of all is His representation.

Who is "they" it seems you group all Christians into one big pile, do you put all non believers into a big pile also? Every person is their own religion, I doubt any two are exactly alike. As for myself I follow the following scripture:
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, of any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
(Ex 20.4)
I am positive CHRIST is in heaven so I would not try to guess at his likeness. Besides He can take whatever image He wishes. After his Resurrection his own disciples did not recognize Him. The cross more than represents the faith, an image or face is not necessary.

people didn't have last names then. He was Jesus of Nazareth. Because he grew up there. Who doesn't know that Jesus looked like a Jew? Duh. I think it's becoming more accepted and popular in art to represent him looking like he probably did instead of white or black.
Christ means anointed one. it's not a family name. As I stated before, there were no family names... Jesus might have been called, Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph.
What does it matter what he looked like? Where did you even find a description of Him? The importance is in what He did. and Why.

Your ignorance is astounding. "Christ" wasn't Jesus' last name. It's a title meaning "savior". People didn't have last names back then. I have no idea where you get your information that Jesus had skin of bronze and hair of wool. No one's hair is made of wool. I would do some more research before making such a public fool of yourself.

Its not impossible to understand the unbelief at all. Fact is the only ones who are able to believe are those to whom Jesus has revealed Himself to. The belief and salvation come from The Lord himself, no man just opens his eyes and believes on his own. God draws the man by HIS WILL, and when He calls YOU WILL HEAR AND BELIEVE. This is called sovereign grace, its supernatural, while your unbelief is quite natural. AN SMELL: no offence but your showing your rank ignorance again.

No---Jesus is The Son of Man and we are members of the body of Christ and as such he did have blond hair and blue eyes and he did have black hair and brown eyes and yes sometime they were slanted and he had red hair with hazel eyes. He is all of us. Why do you think it was too hard to recognize him after the Resurrection? Each time he looked like one of us--I personally think once he looked like St. Francis of Assisi and another time he looked like Padre Pio and so forth. It was his priesthood he looked like---this is why they usually only knew him by the breaking of the bread.
