I always thought if I were blessed with the ability to fly I would do so with the ability of a Turkey, or a Chicken.

Why would they be? If danger comes their way... they can just fly away. Walking without bobbing wouldn't be natural to them anyway... but they are so cute I love watching the birds walking. God made some wonderful things in the world didn't he?

no longer green with envy particularly, and the fly i had in ere the former day doesnt count to human beings at Y!A bc they pronounced me!! buggers! in any case, good success in getting that flt, hes a visitor on your place and shouldn't instruct off as such

I hope your joking, answerer #1. According to the bible, which invokes the idea of spirit and soul, Animals such as birds do not even have souls.
So no, they could care less. Birds don't even feel envy. They just impulse on hunger and danger.
