Getting protein from a vegetarian diet isn't impossible but it requires you to eat a variety of different veggies that you've probably never tried before. Among these vegetables are legumes and nuts. You can also get protein from soy and milk. I would suggest whey protein. I would also suggest, chicken, tuna, and beef but since you're doing the vegetarian thing...
Lose 5 pounds of fat, you say? Easier said then done but not impossible. It will take some time and you may lose like 10 pounds in a week but remember that it's water weight.
You want to gain muscle everywhere on your body so I'm assuming that your rather thin and calories aren't an issue.
Your workout has to be long and intense with a diet to match. 2500-3000 calories a day split into 6 meals with each meal being separated by a period of 3 hours. This is what's known as the bulking phase. You put on mass and because of the excess calories you may put on a bit of fat. But you need those calories to feed the muscle.
If you want to lose fat and gain muscle, albeit at a much slower pace. Try mixing it up with circuit training. That's a mix of high intensity endurance training like cardio (great for burning fat) and strength training.

Watch your diet. Stay away from fried and fatty foods, Junk food, bakery goodies. Eat vegies, very lean meat, chicken and fish - nut not fired. Fruit, fruit juices.
Wrestling, gymnastics, weight training will be the fastest methods of putting on weight. You must be regular, consistant and mentally prepared for real training and Nothing interferes.
If weight training, get a buffy which fosters sort of friendly competition, as well as promoting safety. If you get into trouble with a heacy lift you buddy is there to help you avoid falling weight or getting pinned under the bar.
Losing weight means less calories in that you burn off. With a good diet and serious exercise the fat will go away really soon. An all vegie diet cannot provide the massive amounts of protein you need to build muscle fast.
Muscle growth has a lot to do with genertics. If your Did or brothers are showing muscle shape or definition, you will have an easier time of it. Do Not Forget the LEGS, Too many guys concentrate on upper body and when wearing tights or swim trunks, look like upside down pears. UGLY
Don't overdo either, Those guys do not look natural. The best is the Gymnast - They are cut to shreds and hard as a rock. They are also, pound for pound, stronger than most weight lifters.
Patience, hard work, schedule and diet and you are home... There are no short cuts and yoga will not do it. Look at the skeletal build of most of the yoga masters.

Well excersizing 3 times a week should do you some good. I would recommend weights, and go to the gym. Take vitamins too, and not steriods. For your stomach you should always do some sit ups, and other exersizises that work that the abdomenals. Make sure to stick around a good diet with a lot of nutriution. Don't stay away from the meat all the time, it has some of the protiens that you will need.

Hi,
I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.diet-fun-now.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $6.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!
