I use this second computer for editing sound and videos. I import font , pictures, script.. etc.. files via DVD or CD. Am worried of corrupting my bank of HardDrives. Need it only to scan only while importing from removemable Media. Please understand the whole question before answering. I don't want this computer on internet even for a second ... for fear of corrupting my hardworked Media on the HardDrives. Thanks for support.

If you do not have an internet connection you are unlikely to be at risk from viruses. If you mean you have lost your connection because of a virus - reboot in Safe Mode with Networking by pressing F8 continually during boot up. You should now be able to connect.

You can download the program itself from the net, burn it on a CD and install it from the CD, but I don´t know of any possibilities to do the same with updates.
Can´t you scan your materiel for viruses in the "first" computer and then safely use them in both computers?

If your computer doesn't have Internet connection and does not have access to e-mail or the World Wide Web, then you don't need it.
