Haemorrhoids or anal fissure? Is there pain when you open your bowels?
Anal fissure is excruciatingly painful. Piles may or may not be....sometimes they itch. Keep the area clean. Salted water dabbed on can help.

You need to have a look at the colour of the blood (not very nice i know) also is it just after you have been to the loo? Light coloured blood is USUALLY from the outer part of the anus i.e. PILES which could be evident on toilet paper after using the loo. Other problems such as crohns disease can do this, BUT if you are noticing DARK red blood in the loo especially large amounts it could be something more serious. BUT ANY bleeding needs to be seen by a doctor!

Sometimes it's a sign of a colon problem, so I am glad you are going to the doctor. With women, sometimes at menstruation time, it seems like the same thing happens, but it doesn't continue after. Please go to the doctor and ask them to test you!! There is also another reason which is personal and you should tell your doctor about. If you had anal sex and the person was rough, you could have been torn inside, which would cause bleeding.

Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the anal canal. They can be itchy, bleeding and/or painful protrusions just under the skin. To get rid of hemorrhoids you can use this natural method that already have thousands of positive reviews https://tr.im/m0lYj
There are two types internal and external. Internal are inside the anal canal in the lower rectum and external are at the anus. They result from increased pressure in the veins often due to straining during bowel movements and during pregnancy. Scratching in an attempt to relieve the itching symptoms further weakens the area and compounds the problem.

The most common cause is piles. Even if you can't see or feel them you could have internal ones. If you've been constipated it could be an anal fissure(a small tear).Red blood is fresh blood and normally nothing to worry about. It's when it's mingled with your poo or very dark blood(Means it's come from your stomach or internally).Your doing the right thing going the doc's though.

More than likely "piles" haemorrhoids. The fact that it is bright red is a good sign believe it or not. Glad to hear you are having it checked out asap, Im sure it is nothing sinister but early checks are vital. good luck and don't worry x

Best to see a doctor,
It could be:
Piles/Hemmaroides, will clear up with cream.
Slight anal fissure, again will clear up quickly.
Probably not Chrohns (I have) or Colitus or Cancer as you havent mentioned any other symptoms such as stomach cramps, weight loss, mouth ulcers, skin infections, and many others.
Go see the doctor, it wil probably be bum grapes and you will get a nice cream and a special applicator.

Go and see your GP quickly. The most likely cause is haemorroids (bleeding piles) which are usually internal, but may become external. This is the most likely cause and is treatable, at the other end of the scale it could be bowel cancer, so NOT seeing the doctor may cost you your life!

Likely to be PILES. The GOOD thing is that it is 'fresh' or bright red as you put it and not BLACK as that is a sign of something serious.
I know you are going to the Dr's but give NHS a call to help put your mind at rest.

The most common causes of hemorrhoids are straining during bowel movements and obesity. Follow these essential hemorrhoid prevention tips and you may not even have to delve into any hemorrhoid treatments https://tr.im/iKwci
If you’re straining during bowel movements, there is no doubt that you are suffering from constipation, and obesity only heightens your chance of experiencing these digestive issues. The best solution for hemorrhoids is to not have them at all!
