Animals do not have souls, so you will not see pets in heaven. In heaven, looking at God face to face, you will instantly forget about loved ones burning in hell.

When we go to heaven if we have someone we loved on earth who is in hell, we will not remember them. Anything else will be torture, and that will not be a part of heaven. They will be gone from our minds.
Which is the reason we as Christians need to be vigilant about praying for and being a living witness for our loved ones and others.
As for pets, I don't think they have souls....but I could be wrong. The Bible doesn't specify that one.

The Bible says we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. All truth will be reveled to you, anything earthly won't matter anymore. You'll know and understand then the secret things of God hidden away from man now. You'll understand why ?? had to go to hells fire and You'll just be thankful that you made it to Heaven. Feelings and all concept of anything earthly and anybody on earth will change also.

Dear one, I and countless others have the same worries and fears. For me I believe a loving God would not have made it possible to become so emotionally attached to people and animals to be wrenched from them forever. So I comfort myself that all we love, regardless of species will share peaceful eternity

Are you seriously equating a "loved one" with "pets"??
But, back to your frequently asked "question":
The covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of the eternal soul thru Jesus, Son of the one true God, is FREELY available to each and every person.
God has given us each the gift of FREE WILL. With this free will, we can elect to either ACCEPT or REJECT salvation.
We then have the consequences of our decision: the kingdom of heaven...or not.
It really IS that simple.
What can you do for a "loved one"? Again simple. Help them come to the love and mercy of God NOW. Live a Christian life (be an example). Pray for them.

You don't have to worry so much, God is moral and just, and will do the right thing. Just focus on being the best person you can be in this life, and trust in God, not to be the monster, that some people improperly paint him/her as.
